Hi Guys, I have a best fitting pair of jeans which I loved, but it got too old and damaged too much, but the fit was great, I did tried to look out for jeans on stores and none fit that perfect which I had,
I decided to make that tailor made from online store
I am not sure how to take measurement of existing jeans, they do have cloning process, but I don't want to spend extra for cloning service.
can you guys help me out in taking measurements, any good reference or links for taking measurements?
Hi David,
checkout this measurement guide

They also have this video on describing step by step how to take measurements.
Hope that helps
Nice Article for measuring the jeans, Good website though for custom jeans, will recommend it to my sister, she needs jeans tailored.
I read somewhere length is from inseam, your given article is showing , its from waist,
which one is correct?
Both ways are correct, for different regions and countries and places, they use the length from in-seam, but actual length should be taken from your waist line, as it must be total length from your side to bottom surface.
As you might have high waist, or mid waist or low waist kind of jeans requirement, hence you must always measure from your waist line from where you do wear your jeans, never use inseam length for making custom made jeans you will end up getting the short length jeans and it would be your fault.
very nice info.. thanks for sharing it 🙂
