I’d like to say I’m a bit of an expert in denim. I call home to California, and the jeans here are pretty much the norm. I just love to wear a decent pair of jeans beyond that, and they end up being part of my wardrobe at least three or four days a week. And as Denim-Fever’s fashion director, I’m lucky enough to be able to try new types of jeans from denim labels on a regular basis. I’ve got a big stack of jeans in my closet, and I’d estimate that I’ve tried at least 30 pairs in the past year alone. Nonetheless, as someone who likes to have a seamless wardrobe, I decided to try out my choices for each and every pair. I was able to narrow my critical everyday jeans down to five main picks after slipping into each and every style. I’m breaking down the five best-fitting jeans I’ve ever worn before.
The perfect tapered ankle
I still struggle to find denim suited to a flattering ankle length. Some of them are too broad, and others are too tight. But this Anine Bing pair is fine.
A wedgie cut
These jeans are called the “wedgie” because they are made to provide you with a butt lift. And yes, they are upholding the pledge.
The ultimate ’90s-inspired jeans
If you’re obsessed with the style of the ‘ 90s as I am, these are your jeans. These Re / Done jeans have been designed to re-create their favorite pair of the decade with Cindy Crawford, and they are just perfect.
You can’t go wrong with a classic
They’re a classic cut from decades ago, but this pair has been revamped with a tape-like leg that makes them feel like very 2019. You’ve probably heard of Levi’s 501 jeans.
