What are Cigarette Jeans and Why they vary from others….

Posted on August 28, 2019September 10, 2019 by Verna Bradford

I enjoy the cigarette Jeans because it looks a lot cleaner.  As in Cigarette Jeans skinny hold them ankles tight, so irrespective of whether you’re wearing flats or heels, you’re going to have that bunching look at the bottom that produces a bit more edgy ending, sort of an abrupt halt to your legs flow.  The cigarette produces a more gradual, natural transition to your shoes and feet without bunching, elongating the stems. And I’m 5′ so the longer, the better! But at the end of the day, it really depends on the look you’re looking for.

What is Cigarette Jeans

Cigarette jeans, like Skinnies, fit through the ass and thighs, but at the wrists, they are not tapered as much. They keep the same shape under the knees, not as fit as the straight-legged jean, but more like the love child between the skinnies and the straight ones. Cigarette cutting is a style that falls from directly to skinny. They’ve got a snug fit, but legs down, with a tight hem they’re straight. Perfect for females with a sort of small body. Cigarette jeans have a slender silhouette and are cut directly (like a cigarette) from knee to ankle and are typically ankle-length. Ankle-long pants end just above or under the bone of the elbow.

Why they called Cigarette Jeans

Cigarette Jeans are called because they are straight and stop at the ankle, and not because they contain a convenient pocket for your Marlboro’s-to my slight disappointment. They are straight and tube-like once on, skimming over my legs and stopping at the ankles without any specific finesse.

Cigarette Jeans vs Slim-fit Jeans

While cigarette jeans are cut directly from knee to ankle, skinny jeans follow the leg line and fit from hip to ankle snugly. Cigarette jeans are essentially slim fit jeans that are not tapered and generally made from a denim fabric of mid-weight. Skinny jeans are basically a dress that clings to your skin, it generally has more Lycra in the production process. The silhouette is the basic difference in both. As the name indicates, skinny pants fit the whole length of the body and are therefore more stretchable. Cigarette jeans are narrow under the knee, but they don’t suit the body. The best way to comprehend the silhouette is to imagine the slender cylindrical trousers below your knee like a cigarette.

Cigarette Jeans vs Straight Leg Jeans

There is not much distinction, but straight jeans are usually cut straight from hip to ankle, and cigarette jeans in the thigh region may be more fitted and cut directly from knee to ankle. Apart from that, while cigarette jeans are generally ankle-length, straight leg jeans come in cropped styles, ankle-length, and full-length.
